MONCKS CORNER— The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested a Summerville man after a drive-by shooting in Ladson that left three people injured.
According to a news release from the sheriff's office, 23-year-old Demontae Trevon Jones was arrested and charged with four counts of attempted murder on Aug. 1.

Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to Sundial Lane on July 31 after reports of a shooting, the release said. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found an adult and two minors who had been shot. The victims were transported to a local hospital.
The initial investigation revealed the drive-by nature of the shooting. The suspect's vehicle was identified on surveillance cameras, and deputies identified Jones as being involved, the release said.

Summerville police charge man with firing at SWAT team

Summerville police assisted in locating Jones at an apartment complex in Summerville, the release said. Capt. Chris Hirsch, the spokesperson for the department, said their SWAT team assisted in the arrest.
Jones is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center awaiting his bond hearing. The release said he could face more charges as the sheriff's office continues the investigation.
